Donation Convoy

Proposed by the Hungarian delegation, 16th of October was adopted as World Food Day by the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) in 1979. World Food Day is designed to raise awareness of governments and the general public to address food issues affecting millions globally. To contribute to this initiative, the Hungarian Food Bank Association has launched a Donation Convoy every year since 2006 to raise awareness about hunger and poverty. This campaign is organised jointly with FAO.
